Many people are unhappy with their work, but only a few can afford to quit. Why? Because only few people have savings and emergency funds but many have none. What they have are financial responsibilities they are still carrying on their shoulders. 

If you have enough savings and emergency funds, quitting when you are unhappy with your work is the easiest thing to do. But most for the most of us, quitting is the most difficult decision to make. 

You’ll drift through life unhappy and full of regrets if you neglect your mental and emotional well-being. But cash flow is important and a priority to almost all of us. So what should we do?

Determine The Why

Ask yourself WHY are you unhappy with your job. Is it because of your workload? Your boss? Your co-worker? Know the deep-rooted reasons you are unhappy with your work. By doing so, it will help you come up with better action plans. 

Boring

Sometime we feel unmotivated at work because our job is not challenging enough or our boss and peers don’t appreciate the work we do for the company. 

Sometimes, all we need are words of encouragement and appreciation to overcome our unhappiness at work. Asking for feedback from your colleagues and supervisor regarding your work helps a lot.

When you feel bored because your job becomes a routine then ask your boss to transfer you to another department, account, a project that challenge you. 

If you are still bored after being transferred then maybe it’s time to look for a new job.

Stressful Work

You need to learn how to manage your stress from work or it will eat your productivity and your health. Learn ways to cope with your stress at work. You can do Muay Thai after work to release stress and tension. It will help you clear your mind on hard decisions you are making. Or any other things that makes you relax and helps you become more focus on your work.

If you still feel the stress after doing the things mentioned above, maybe it’s time to talk to your supervisor and request for fewer responsibilities for the next few days to re-energize yourself.

If nothing seems to work then it’s a good sign to find another job.

When working in a corporate world, getting along with the people you spend most of your time with is a must.You need not be close with them but at least you enjoy working with them. 

When you enjoy working with them, you are more productive at work and you can’t wait to get up and go to work every single day. But if you have a toxic working environment, it becomes unmanageable, and it affects you then you need to find a new job as soon as possible.

Being unhappy at work is common, and it comes from a lot of reasons. Analyze the cause of your unhappiness and be mindful to know what you can do to change or improve your unhappiness.

After analyzing the cause of your situation, make plans and find success.
