Complete Guide on Renewing Passport Online

Confirmed Online Appointment
Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) no longer accepts walk-in applications since March 1, 2019. The first thing to do for a successful passport renewal is to secure an online appointment. Securing an online appointment is free of charge.

Application Form
Once the appointment was successfully done, printing the application form is a must to do. The document will be sent by the DFA to your email once you have the appointment and paid for the fee at any payment centers in partner with DFA. You need to make sure to provide your active e-mail address so you will receive the documents that will be sent.

Original PSA Authenticated Document
Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) will check all the information. In case you have changed your name or your family name you will need to bring a supporting document that has been authenticated by PSA as well. It can be a marriage contract, annotated birth certificate, death certificate of spouse, annotated marriage certificate to show annulment, divorce or court order instruction. However, if you got married but chose to use your maiden name there is no need to provide a marriage contract.

Current E-Passport
Provide a photocopy of your most recent passport whether if it is still valid or expired. If your passport is still valid this will serve as a valid ID during the renewal process.

Passport Application for Minors

If you want your kids to have their own passport here are the steps and requirements that you need to do and provide.

  1. Confirmed Online Appointment. If the children are below 7 years old there’s no need to have an online appointment. They have the privilege of the courtesy lane together with their parents
  2. Accomplished Application Form
  3. Current E-Passport with a photocopy of the data page
  4. Marriage Certificate (If only one parent is accompanying the child)
    If parents are unmarried, an Affidavit of Support and/or Consent executed by the Mother is required if she is not accompanying the child or if Affidavit of Support and/or Consent was provided abroad, it should be authenticated by the Philippine Embassy or Consulate
  5. Proof of filiation
  6. Valid Government-issued ID of either parent with one (1) Photocopy
  7. Personal appearance of minor application and parent or authorized guardian
  8. School ID if applicable
