Good news! the Social Security System (SSS) disbursed Php 84 million for SSS Unemployment Benefits.
Members who were separated involuntarily from their employer starting March 05, 2019, will get financial assistance via SSS Unemployment Benefits. However, a member must be qualified to get financial assistance from SSS.
Above all, SSS’s goal is to give members the equivalent half of the average monthly salary credited for a minimum of two months.

Qualifications and Requirements Needed:
- Member must have 36 monthly contributions.
- Not above 60 years old at the time of voluntary separation.
- Certification issued by the Department of Labor and Employment. (DOLE) (Must include reason and date of involuntary separation)
- Notice of Termination.
- Photocopy of 1 primary ID card.
Accepted Reasons Behind Involuntary Separation:
- Illness
- Threatening Disease
- Cessation of operation
- Redundancy
- Retrenchment
- Installation of Labor-Saving Devices
