SAP Second Tranche Distribution, Now Effective

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is now distributing the second tranche of cash aid under the Social Amelioration Program (SAP).

The second tranche of SAP targeted over 12 million beneficiaries. They are aiming to finish the release of emergency cash aid by the end of July. As of this writing, Php 19.4 billion emergency cash was already given to 3.2 million beneficiaries and still ongoing.

DSWD Undersecretary Rene Glen Paje said that they will release SAP 2 via digital payment. He said that the emergency cash aid will be given using GCash, PayMaya, Unionbank, RCBC, Robinsons Bank, and Starpay.

GCash:
-National Capital Region (NCR)
-Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR)
-Region I (Ilocos), III (Central Luzon), IV-A (Calabarzon), VI (Western Visayas) and (Central Visayas)

PayMaya:
-NCR
-CAR
-Region III, IV-A and VII

Starpay:

RCBC:

As the pandemic continues, receiving SAP 2 is quite a relief especially for those who are in need. Good thing that DSWD thought of an easier way to distribute the SAP using a digital financial provider.
