Fire Officer Exam 2022 Guidelines

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) recently announced the schedule of online applications and examinations of fire officers. All aspiring fire officers may apply. The application will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. Once they reach the target number of applicants they will close the application. Deadline of Application: September 01, 2022
Date of Examination: October 23, 2022

What are the Qualifications?

  • Filipino Citizen
  • Good moral character
  • Must be 21-35 years old upon application
  • Physically Fit
  • Mentally Fit
  • Not convicted in any crime or offense
  • Must have not been dishonorably discharged from military service or government positions
  • With baccalaureate degree

Application Requirements:

  • Fully accomplished form
  • ID picture
    • 4 pieces
    • Passport size
    • With handwritten name tag showing signature over printed name
    • Must be bare face
  • ID
    • Original photocopy of the following IDs:
      • Passport
      • Driver’s License

      • Philhealth ID

  • Examination Fee amounting to Php 700

Additional Requirements if applicable:

  • If the ID doesn’t show the date of birth, an original or photocopy of the PSA birth certificate must be provided.
  • Original and Photocopy of Certification of Retention/ Re-acquisition of Philippine Citizenship issued by the Bureau of Immigration must be provided if the applicant is holding dual citizenship

  • Administrative Matters (10%)
    • RA 6975, 9263 & 9592 and its IRR
    • CSC Rules and Regulations and Qualification Standards;
    • BFP Memo Circulars and SOPs on Administrative Matters

Passing Grade:

The Fire Officers Examination has 160 items. 150 for test proper while 10 items for Examinee Descriptive Questions (EDQ). The examinee must obtain an 80% general rating to pass the examination.

Must Remember:

  • No facemask, no entry.
  • No document, no exam.
  • Be on time!
  • Observe physical distancing
  • Wear profer attire on the examination day
  • No phones allowed
  • Bring your own black ballpen
