What is the difference between Non-Working Spouse and a Regular member contribution?

The difference between a Non-working spouse and a regular member is the amount of their  Monthly Salary Credit o MSC. Their MSC and the amount of their monthly contribution will be based on their legal partner’s monthly salary. It will be 50%. For example, if a SSS member is earning Php 20,000 a month that means he/she needs to pay Php Php 2,400 monthly contribution and if he/she has a Non-working spouse, the spouse needs to pay half of Php 2,400 which is Php 1,200 monthly.

How to Register?

A non-working spouse needs to accomplish and submit Non-Working Spouse Record (SS Form NW-1). It must be signed by the working spouse associated with the marriage certificate. If there’s no existing SS number, he/she should submit SS Form NW-1 associated with the original copy of any primary or any one (1) of the secondary documents acceptable in securing SS number.
